This cozy velvet kids cape has a magical shimmer, like the luminous glimmer of a beautiful butterfly wing or iridescent bird. It's hard to capture in pictures just how special and fancy this fabric looks... and feels! It is soft as can be. While it is great for playing dress-up, this is not a "costume" quality cape. It is made with the same thoughtful construction and attention to detail that Yana puts into all the wonderful work she creates.

Size

This capelet fits most kids and small adults. It would be a full length cloak on a 2-3 year old, a mid length layer on an older kid, and lands near the waist on grown-ups. The limiting factor in sizing this capelet is the neck hole. It will safely fit necks ~13.5" and smaller.

Color

This cloak is a dark, royal, purplish Indigo blue with an iridescent shimmer.

Fabric

This capelet is a luscious, cozy velvet fabric. We selected this deadstock material for it's stunning sheen and saturation. The exact fiber content of this Rayon/Viscose blend is unknown.

How it's made

This capelet was made in Traverse City, Michigan USA from sustainably sourced materials. Yana and her team carefully construct every item in our fair wage, low-waste production studio.
